MESA, Arizona - The Seminole State Women's Golf Team returns to the site of its 2015 National Championship for the 2018 NJCAA finals. The Longbow Golf Course in Mesa will host the best teams in the country. The Raiders are one of those teams and are looking to grab their second National Title on the afternoon of May 17th.

Between now and then SSC will have traveled across the country and endured tempratures in the high 90s to low 100s. The course will be soft in the morning and firm, fast in the afternoon. Almost like two different courses. Temperature will be a factor but the Raiders have been preparing mentally and physically for it. These ladies are ready. All five competitors have looked solid and believe in themselves. They’ve worked super hard and trust themselves. Team vibe is excellent. This week is about staying positive, sticking to our process and exercising extreme patience. It will be a long and hot 4 days. There will be ups and downs, and each individual has to believe.

Coach Christa Teno has excellent notes already. The Raiders will also enlist Teno's best friend Peggy Gustafson, who will walk the two practice rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Peggy teaches in Phoenix at the Biltmore with Tina Tombs in the winter and Anchorage CC in the summer. She is staying an extra week in Arizona just to help SSC. Teno and Gustafson have been best friends for over 30 years and played the LPGA National Team event together for 20 years. Teno believes she is one of the best teachers in the country. The team went to Gustafson's facility on Friday after landing to get acclimated to the weather.

In their last session in Florida, John Weir, the Raiders Mental Coach, expressed how proud he was of the girls and what an honor it’s been working with them. They’ve worked hard and they are acting like champions in every way. And Coach Teno added, "We’ve already done our homework on the course. We have 2 practice rounds before Monday so we will be ready."
