SANFORD, Florida - The year after a winning a championship, complacency is a real concern for any team. Often coaches say, we aren't "defending" anything. At Seminole State, head coach Christa Teno is embracing this challenge. The coach did not even order a Championship ring for herself. "When I retire, I want a ring that has 6 or 7 stars (signifying National Championships)," said Teno when recently announcing the fall schedule.

This year's team will have three returning All-Americans; Alex Giles, Sophia Warren and Karn Thantamnu (who red-shirted in 2018-19, but was All-American in 2017-18). These three will be looked upon to lead the five newcomers through a challenging fall schedule that opens at in-state rival and perennial national powerhouse, Daytona State's tournament, September 12-15.

The Raiders will participate in three other events during the fall. SSC will have stops at Jacksonville and Stetson and wrap up at Flagler College's Fall Slam.
