SANFORD, Florida -  The rain over night softened the fairways a bit but the wind was constant and did keep the greens testy. No matter, when you are a member of the Seminole State Women's Golf team, you compete hard. That competitive fire showed as the scores were not as low the team would have hoped but were low enough for a fourth victory of the year.

SSC finished with a two round score of 604, six shots better than the second place Owls of Florida Atlantic. The Youngstown State Penguins came in third.

Erica Chaing was the individual medalist, shooting a -1, 143 for two rounds. The other three scoring Raiders were all in the top eleven. Tai Anudit, tied for third with a +3 (147), Alex Naumovski finished ninth with a +13 (157) and Sam Brimhal finished just outside the top 10 at 11th with +15 (159).

The team will enjoy what is left of spring break and then as Coach Teno said, "prepare for the most important part of the season." SSC will next travel up I-4 to Deland and play in the Bab Steffens Invitational, hosted by Stetson University, March 23-26.
