SANFORD, Florida - For the second straight game the Seminole State Baseball team won a game and scored 11 runs in the victory. SSC also (for the second straight game) scored seven runs in an inning. Also for the second straight game, the Raiders defeated a quality Mid-Florida Conference foe that it has not beaten in the last two years. Finally, in both games, the Raider starting pitching won complete game victories.

In today's 11-2 victory at The Jack over the St. Johns River Vikings, Haden Erbe continued his stellar pitching season. Throwing 8 strikeouts enroute to a complete (7 inning) game shutout.

Justin Holmes collected three hits, Alejandro Figueredo walked three times and Tim Dixon and Kenny Rodriguez both had two RBI.

Seminole will travel to St. Johns River on Saturday (2 p.m.) and return to The Jack on Monday at 3 p.m. to complete the three game series.

Athlete Spotlight Image
The Freshman Golfer from Bristol, England was the medalist for Seminole State and helped lead the Raiders to the team title. Giles shot 72 and 74 for a two round total of 146 in winning her first collegiate tournament.
