SANFORD, Florida - After four innings of baseball on Saturday, the Raiders were looking pretty safe to pick up their 35th win on the season and 15th in Mid-Florida Conference play. Seminole State had a 5-1 lead and Haden Erbe was throwing well. In the top of the fifth, back-to-back ricochet singles provided the spark the Lake Sumter LakeHawks needed to seize momentum and the lead.

The Hawks scored 6 runs in the fifth primarily after a line drive hit off the field umpire, followed immediately by a line drive to starting Pitcher Haden Erbe's lower leg. The umpire continued on, Erbe had to leave the game.

Five errors on the day did not help Seminole's cause.

Seminole will host Daytona State on Monday (2 p.m. - Live Stream) and finish the regular season with a trip to Santa Fe on Tuesday (3 p.m.). Seminole, Santa Fe and St. Johns River are all knotted for second place at 14-8. By 10 p.m. on Tuesday, a clear Mid-Florida Conference playoff picture will be visible.
