SANFORD, Florida - The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA)/NJCAA Region 8 is one of the best in the country and has a post-season track record (in all sports) to prove it. So the opportunity to measure a team against statewide and national competition is always enjoyable for a coach.

Here is the schedule for the JUCO Kick-off in Clearwater, January 26: 

  • 11:00 a.m.   Richard Bland Community College (VA)
  •   3:30 p.m.   Florida SouthWestern
  •   6:00 p.m.   Palm Beach State College

The prestigious NFCA Lead-off Classic scheduled for March 8-10 in Columbus, Georgia will feature pool play, then teams will be seeded and placed in a bracket:

Friday, March 8:

  • 1:00 p.m.  Sinclair Community College (OH)
  • 6:00 p.m.  Illinois Central College

Saturday, March 9

  • 12:30 pm   Lansing Community College (MI)

The SSC Tournament schedule being held at Boombah Soldiers Creek, February 23-24 will be announced in January.

RAIDER NOTES:

  • Admission for regular season games is $5 for Adults, $3 for Youth (12&Under). Season Tickets are $30. All can be purchased at the gate.

  • Coach Miller won her 1,000 career game on March 17, 2018
  • The 2018 team finished 52-15 (including 22-2 at home) and has won 105 games over the previous two seasons
  • Seminole State will serve as host of the NJCAA Region 8 Tournament May 2-5, 2019 at Boombah Soldiers Creek

About the Seminole State Raiders:

The Raider Athletics Department of Seminole State College was established in 1965 and initially led by Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach Joe Sterling. Seminole State currently sponsors five sports all members of the NJCAA. Both Baseball and Softball facilities are located on College Drive on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.  Kurt Esser is the current Athletic Director.
