SANFORD, Florida - Pitcher and Eastern Kentucky signee, Louis Davenport got the start and the win on Monday for Seminole State as the Raiders moved to 6-0 on the young season. It was a dominant win, but the kind that coaches like because there are still somethings that can be cleaned up. The staff gave up only four hits, but allowed 10 "free bases."

On the offensive side, there were three big innings that were anchored by three home runs. Kenny Rodriguez had a two-run shot to left to launch a four-run third. Justin Holmes cranked a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth. Kobe Barnum rocketed a three-run blast in the bottom of the eighth.

Seminole State will now travel to Polk State College on Wednesday for a scheduled 6 p.m. start. After three home games over the weekend, SSC will play South Florida State College on Monday, February 11th at Historic Sanford Stadium with a 6 p.m. start.
