SANFORD, Florida Fall games do not count in college softball. Fall games really matter in college softball. While the wins and losses aren't recorded, the pieces of the puzzle begin to fit.

Coach Courtney Miller announced the Raider Softball Fall Schedule recently and she believes the fall will go along way in determining how the "real" (spring) season ends. "We have a lot of talent, but may lack depth," said Miller. "There will be a lot of good competition for a few positions. In other positions, we'll see who wants to step up and take the starting role."

The Raiders return 10 sophomores, including some power in the form of Michelle Decker and Kelly Dwyer. Three pitchers; Marissa Adame, Sam Guider and Jenea Fedewa will form the foundation of a deep and experienced staff. Chloe French (2019 Mack Blythe winner for Freshman Student-Athlete of the year), Jada Cruz and Amy Lee all started for the Raiders in 2019. Mackenzie Flowers and Lexi Koch look to step up during their second year. Alexis Gutierrez and Alicia Wittenhagen red-shirted in 2018-19 and will join the 10 sophomores and seven incoming freshmen.

The fall campaign will feature opponents from travel ball, NJCAA, NCAA Division I and II. A match up versus UCF still may be added to the schedule.

  • Coach Miller won her 1,000 career game on March 17, 2018. The program is three games shy of 1,000.
  • The 2019 team finished 46-17 (including 22-2 at home) and has won 151 games over the previous three seasons
  • The Raiders have qualified for 17 consecutive FCSAA State Tournaments
  • Seminole State will serve as host of the NJCAA Region 8 Tournament May 8-11, 2020 at Boombah Soldiers Creek
  • Sponsorship and facility rental opportunities are available, for information send an email to esserk@seminolestate.edu
  • Admission is free for fall games. For regular season games (Spring) admission is $5 for Adults, $3 for Youth (12&Under). Season Tickets are $30.
