SANFORD, Florida - The definition of a streak is continuous period of specified success or luck. It can be two or three games or longer. In baseball, most streaks aren't very long and certainly three games seems long.  Make no mistake, St. Johns River has a great baseball program. The Vikings have fantastic facilities and they don't rebuild, they reload. But for Seminole State, the next game can't come fast enough. The Raiders travel to Ocala on Friday to take on the College of Central Florida Patriots at 1 p.m. The Patriots swept Daytona State in the conference opening series for both schools and have won 8 of their last 10.

SSC must return to the form that lead it to a 12-6 February. It sounds fundamental and it is, pitchers pitch, hitters hit and fewer errors. The Raiders are 12th in the nation in hits and third in the nation in stolen bases, these two stats show that the Raiders can generate some offense. The pitching staff is a bit nicked up like most teams this time of the year, with Jorge Meran missing some starts, but must improve on limiting big innings. Josh Hancock (1-3) will get the start on Friday.

Seminole State (13-13) will host CCF at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Ethan Koehler (1-1) will throw for the Raiders.
