SANFORD, Florida - The 2019 baseball season was a huge success for Seminole State. The team won 35 games, qualified for the Mid-Florida Conference playoffs and sent all 12 of their sophomores to 4-year universities.

Coach Mike Nicholson believes 2020 could be just as good. "On paper, we have a lot of talent," stated Coach Nick. "No one has ever won a game on paper though. So I am excited to get started and then play a few fall (exhibition) games to see where we are."

The Raiders will need to replace a couple of talented pitchers in Haden Erbe (West Virginia) and Louis Davenport (Eastern Kentucky) and Male Athlete of the Year, Kobe Barnum. SSC will look to Alejandro Figueredo (first team FCSAA), Corey King (second team FCSAA), Travis Sankovich and speedster Justin Holmes (who earned the team most improved award in 2019) to jump start the offense.

  • All 12 of the Sophomores from the 2018-19 team signed with 4-year Universities
  • The 2019 team finished 35-14, including a 21-9 record at "The Jack" (home)
  • Sponsorship and facility rental opportunities are available, for information send an email to
  • Admission is free for fall games. For regular season games (Spring) admission is $5 for Adults, $3 for Youth (12&Under). Season Tickets are $30
