SANFORD, Florida - The Seminole State Women's Golf Team will travel to Melbourne, FL for the Lady Panther Invite hosted by Florida Tech. The Raiders will play their practice round on Saturday at the Duran Golf Club, followed by 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Tournament agenda and practice rounds on Saturday are as follows (other tee times will be posted as they are received):

1:00pm – Webber Individual

1:10pm – Nova Southeastern 3

1:20pm – Nova Southeastern 3

1:30pm – PBA 3

1:40pm – PBA 3

1:50pm – Barry 5

2:00pm – Seminole State 5

2:10pm – Keiser 5

2:20pm – Coastal Georgia 5

2:30pm – Mount Olive 5

Sunday, April 8th:  Range opens at 6:45am followed by Round #1 tee times at 9.00am with threesomes, with the Raiders beginning at 9:48 a.m.

Monday, April 9th: Range opens at 6:45am followed by Round #2 tee times at 9.00am with threesomes. 

Tuesday, April 10th: Range opens at 6:30am followed by the 18-Hole final round tee times beginning at 8:00am. 

Karn Thantamnu and Sam Brimhall will join Erica Chiang, Tai Anudit and Alex Naumovski in the starting 5. Coach Teno will be looking for any last minute adjustments as final prep begins for the Nationals.

  • The 2017 team finished 2nd at the NJCAA Championships in Duluth, GA
  • Seminole State Golf has finished in the top 3 in the Nation for the last 6 years
  • The team has two starters from last year's squad, plus one red-shirt sophomore and four incoming freshmen

About the Seminole State Raiders:

The Raider Athletics Department of Seminole State College was established in 1965 and initially led by Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach Joe Sterling. Seminole State currently sponsors five sports all members of the NJCAA. Both Baseball and Softball facilities are located on College Drive on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.  Kurt Esser is the current Athletic Director.

Women's Golf Christa Teno was recently named the LPGA National Collegiate Coach of the year. Teno was inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 2017. Her team is currently ranked #1 in the country.
