SANFORD, Florida - At the end of their time together, the Seminole State Raider Softball team and the Seminole Warriors Special Olympics team shook hands, took pictures and joked with each other.  A typical post-game between two teams. But during the game, the Warriors did not back down and played as though the winning team would advance to the State Championship.

Megan Sexton, Raider Softball Standout, echoed what many were thinking, "can we go watch the Warriors play?' And that sentiment was just one of the many great feelings that this event brought. It was also just the start of the partnership that the Raider Athletic Department and the Seminole County Special Olympics will be working on together.

"We can't wait for the Warriors and other teams to come watch our games," stated Seminole State Athletic Director, Kurt Esser. "Certainly, we'll be hosting practices and attending events for these great athletes."
