SANFORD, Florida - Since his arrival on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus of Seminole State College, Raider Athletic Director Kurt Esser has used the term "buiding Raiders." In reviewing some of the athletic highlights, it could be said that the Raiders are already built. Courtney Miller and her Softball team enjoyed another remarkable year, finishing #7 in the NJCAA and winning the Mid-Florida Conference. Coach Teno's Golf team finished Second in the national tournament.

But Esser is building an entire athletic department. That includes creating or enhancing academics, fund-raising and facilities all while maintaining the outstanding community outreach by the Raider Student-Athletes and Coaches.  It is in these areas that the Raiders saw improvements as well and can be seen in the year-end report included here (link above, "annual report').

About the Seminole State Raiders:

The Raider Athletics Department of Seminole State College was established in 1965 and initially led by Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach Joe Sterling. Seminole State currently sponsors three sports all members of the NJCAA.  Both Baseball and Softball facilities are located on College Drive on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
