SANFORD, Florida - During the recent Athletic Staff retreat in May the department developed the following mission statement:

"Seminole State Athletics will prepare Raiders for their next steps in life"

Director of Athletics, Kurt Esser, commented, "I believe this statement is easy to communicate and will keep all of us focused on what is most important during our daily tasks."

It has been a busy summer for Raider Athletics as facility improvements take center stage. New scoreboards, dugouts and field improvements fill the hot summer days. Along with construction, a renovated Wellness Center, Long-term planning and Community outreach has been top of mind for Esser as he completes Year 1 as Athletic Director.

"There is a lot of great momentum at Seminole State on the academic AND athletic front. It is exciiting to look forward and see all the possibilities," Esser continues. "Next week we'll announce the new opportunities for community businesses to align with the Raider brand. I know we will receive great support."
